Work With Us

Student Volunteers

Bootup is actively seeking new members of all skill levels from the Johns Hopkins community. No extensive computer knowledge is required for any aspect of the organization. We will teach you all you need to know about the lesson plans and about hardware repair. If you have skill/interest in any of these areas, we'd love to work with you:

  • Hardware and computer repair
  • Technology education and working with grade school students
  • Linux and open source software (GIMP, Audacity, OpenOffice, Scratch, etc.)
  • Programming (Python, PHP, etc.)

Are you a Baltimore school or nonprofit organization in need of computers? Are you doing something similar in the community and looking for a group with which to collaborate? Is your group looking to undertake a computer project? We're always looking to expand our program - drop us a line using our contact form.
